On Saturday 23 June 2012 as well as our Sunday School picnic to Ardentinny, there will a few of us gather at the west bay at approximately 4.30 pm to welcome home safe and sound nine hearty (foolhardy?) brave folk, who will have swum across the Clyde from the Cloch to the west bay. This group are swimming with ‘PK’ to bring into focus his attitude and strength of character, which regardless of suffering from MS he is prepared to fight all the way, and would like other to gain a positive attitude and live a full life.
As well as helping and supporting ‘PK’ Robert Murchison has gathered sponsorship from family and church friends to raise funds for Kirn Parish Church ’s new centre. Today (18 June) his sponsorship reached £500.00
With more to come!! We will all be asked to look at ways of raising a great deal of money by talent, gift, or general help in the future, thank goodness we wont be expected to swim!!!
Robert would like to thank everyone who has donated and if you could pray for good weather that would help!!!!
The team of swimmers are all supporting PK for MS awareness. He had developed a great regime for fitness and diet and wants to encourage every newly diagnosed person to think positive and live life with MS.
Robert’s MS link for donations and sponsorship is JustGiving and then click on Robert Murchison
If you would like to sponsor Robert or donate in aid of the New Church Centre please send a cheque payable to Kirn Parish Church (New Church Centre) and post it to Rev Sarah Nicol, Kirn Parish Church, Kirn Brae, Kirn, Dunoon, Argyll.

We meet every Sunday at Kirn Parish Church at 10.30 am see our Location
page for details of where we are
We have an enthusiastic Sunday School who meet every week during morning service. At present there are about 15 children aged 3-12 who enjoy singing, stories, making things and participating in services. There is a rota of 6 adults who lead the Sunday School activities in discussion with the minister and deacon. We have a prizegiving service for our children in June every year and we always organise a barbeque or picnic at around the same time. In recent years this has been a joint celebration with the St. John’s Sunday School. The children also lead a nativity service in December each year and this is greatly enjoyed by the whole congregation.
